Rydalmere Public School and Preschool is a small metropolitan school with an enrolment of 150 K-6 students plus 20 preschool children. 59% of our students are from a non–English speaking background and 4% of our students are from an ATSI background. 

 

The school has an enthusiastic, collaborative staff ranging from recent graduate teachers through to highly experienced teachers who are extremely dedicated and passionate about our school. Every staff member is committed to ongoing professional learning where they develop innovative and evidence based teaching and learning strategies through tailored professional learning programs based on their need.

 

Rydalmere Public School is an active member of the CCC CoS (Cumberland Community Connections Community of Schools). We have strong links with our partner CCC CoS schools and regularly share professional learning opportunities and expertise.

 

Rydalmere Public School provides a broad range of educational opportunities that cater for the learning needs of all students. There is a strong commitment to visible learning with a focus on explicit teaching, high quality feedback and high expectations. Our wellbeing practices include Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).

 

The parent and wider community work in a close partnership with the school across a range of initiatives and play an important role in key decision making. Rydalmere Public School is home to the Rydalmere Community Hub, which supports significant ties to the greater Rydalmere community.

 

The Itinerant Teacher (Hearing) is based at Rydalmere Public School and is responsible for a teaching caseload within the Parramatta and surrounding districts. Students range from date of diagnosis / birth through to Year 12 across a variety of settings.  

 

Successful applicants must have the ability to travel between worksites.
