Student Clubs:

The Association has a number of recognised Clubs & Societies that include sporting, recreational and faculty groups. Clubs and Societies play an active role in the University community by providing students the opportunity to meet people with common interests and to pursue those interests.

The Association offers financial and administrative support to these organisations and students are encouraged to join existing clubs or start their own. If you require more information on the operation of a club please contact the Sport & Recreation Office on 4781 5932.

Getting a Club Started:

You are required to have 20 or more Student Association members interested in forming a club.

A draft Constitution must be submitted to the Sport & Recreation Committee for consideration (draft copies are available from the Sport & Recreation Office).

If the draft Constitution is deemed to be consistent with the Constitution and Regulations of the Student Association the group shall have an inaugural meeting (attended by a Sport & Recreation Committee Representative) to elect office bearers and accept the constitution.

Having done this, the club may apply to the Student Association for recognition as a club or society.
