Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teacher to join the team at a single form entry school in Morecambe. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or someone in the early stages of their teaching career to grow and develop within a supportive and dynamic school environment.

This is a full time teaching role, Monday to Friday. Fixed for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in accordance with the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners and promote active participation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages collaboration, respect, and resilience.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative methods, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities.
  • Establish effective communication channels with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates on pupil progress and maintain positive home-school partnerships.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Early Career Teacher status or completion of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) within the last two years.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and proficiency in delivering effective teaching and learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to practice.
