ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced part-time Speech Pathologist (3 days per week) for a two-year contract. The role of the Speech Pathologist is to enhance the teaching of language and communication in the classrooms, and to assist students to access the curriculum to the best of their ability. The Speech Pathologist collaborates closely with the classroom teachers and teacher's aides to determine the communication goals, and assess the achievement of those goals.

The Speech Pathologist is a member of the Therapy Team which includes, Facilitator of Student Engagement, School Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and an additional Speech Pathologist. The Speech Pathologist provides support to the students at St Lucy's main campus at Wahroonga, as well as the three satellite classes located at Narrabeen and Narraweena.

  • A preparedness to embrace the ethos and values of St Lucy’s School.

The following experience, skills and attributes are desirable:

  • Experience in a school environment preferred but not essential.
