Springwood High School is proudly comprehensive and has an enrolment of 659 students in Years 7-12, including 32 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 65 students from a non-English speaking background. The school enjoys a tradition of strong academic results and a vibrant emphasis on the creative and performing arts. The experienced staff values collaboration, equity and diversity within a safe and inclusive school environment that fosters academic and personal excellence. Supportive links are evident with local primary schools and other learning communities in the area. Parent support and involvement with the school is strong. In 2013 the school introduced a 3+3 Compacted Curriculum model for Higher School Certificate delivery. The school administers an off-site support unit for students with diagnosed internalising disorders.
