Madang Avenue Public School

Madang Avenue Public School is a small school in Whalan within the Mt Druitt community of schools. The student population is approximately 330 and includes a Preschool and three Special Education classes. 31% of students are from a language background other than English and 18% are from an Aboriginal background. Wellbeing programs successfully foster cooperation, tolerance and respect in a safe and supported environment.

Collaboration and decision-making is a key feature of school planning and the school’s teaching and learning programs. A focus on building educational aspiration underpins strategies to drive improved performance in literacy and numeracy.
