Job Title: Part-Time RECEPTION Teacher

Position Overview:
Veritas Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a supportive teaching team. This position will be as part of a job share. An excellent opportunity for an experienced educator with a strong background in early development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging phonics lessons using evidence-based programs such as Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc., alongside the broader EYFS curriculum.Incorporate a variety of multisensory activities and resources to support acquisition and develop early academic skills.Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for development.Assess pupil progress through ongoing observation, formative assessment, and periodic assessments, providing targeted support and intervention as needed.Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the school's initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in education or relevant subject area, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.Experience teaching in a EYFS setting, with a strong understanding of principles, progression, and effective teaching strategies.Familiarity with phonics schemes such as Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics, Bug Club, or similar programs.Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to practice.
