About the Role

As the Project Officer you will:

  • Participate in projects within the Strategic Engagement Branch, contributing to effective development and implementation of strategic policy and initiatives related to disability and youth reform.
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective project and administrative management systems, including milestone reporting spreadsheets and stakeholder databases.
  • Contribute to program design, research and policy advice to achieve optimal initiative design
  • Engage with regional officers and schools to consult and support implementation of policy initiatives and programs
  • Provide high quality administrative and executive support to enable successful program delivery and effective operation of the Strategic Engagement Branch.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of government processes, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to research and analysis to inform policy and program design.
  • Sound written skills and ability to develop advice and briefings for senior executives
  • Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and understanding of complex and changing policy environments.
  • Ability to operate in an agile environment and support multiple competing program priorities.
