About the Role

In this role you will partner with School Leaders and provide consistent advice and support to people leaders and employees regarding all people related matters.

As the HR Business Partner, you will assist all key stakeholders in change management and engagement initiatives and offer guidance on people related matters regarding workforce procedures such as grievances, misconduct, and performance improvement. With a high degree of attention to detail, you will interpret and advise on policy, enterprise agreements and oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Collaborate with the broader Capability and Enablement of our People team, including Talent, Learning and Development, Employee Services and Payroll to assist in the implementation of initiatives and retain talent across the system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business partnering with a portfolio of our School Leaders to support their school goals and to drive the effective delivery of system people initiatives
  • Provide advice and support throughout the entire employee life cycle, utilising a data driven approach
  • Be a champion of engagement and improving overall employee experience
  • Effectively manage employee relations matters as required
  • Ensure consistent communication and delivery of people initiatives across the system
  • Engage in strategic project work as a SME on a range of people & culture issues

This is a permanent full-time role reporting to the HR Business Partnerships Lead; this role will be based at our Central Office in Pennant Hills.

  • Strong communication and relationship building abilities that allow you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build trust
  • A customer service and inquisitive mindset
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate and informed written and verbal communications
  • Problem solving, data analysis and digital literacy to be able to tackle complex HR issues and leverage data for informed decision-making
  • Experience using HRIS and Microsoft Suite
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or HR Practitioner Credential
  • A valid Working with Children Check
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence and own vehicle (as some travel will be required)
