About Red Hill Special School
Welcome to Red Hill Special School; a Queensland Department of Education and Training school campus where quality teaching provides great learning opportunities. Located just five kilometres from the Brisbane GPO, we provide highly adapted and individualised programs for children and students with complex educational needs.
The guiding principle for our school is all children have an inalienable right to an education. We achieve this aim through caring and professional staff members offering a curriculum which caters for all ability groups, taking into consideration their range of individual needs and abilities. Our programs cater for children and students from birth through to school leaving age. Our friendly staff work as a collaborative team to provide the most appropriate and beneficial learning experiences possible.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students with disability.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the SEP/ECDP to achieve goals.
