ANU Open Day

The Australian National University (ANU) will open its lecture halls, accommodation and science labs to around 6,000 prospective students as part of its annual Open Day.

Australian Test wicketkeeper Brad Haddin will make a guest appearance, returning to ANU where he first played senior cricket in the 1990s.

“My own cricket career began here at the ANU so it’s great to be back for Open Day, which is the first step towards brilliant careers for many young students,” Haddin said.

Haddin will chat with prospective students, run an exclusive cricket workshop and take part in a public discussion.

Other Open Day highlights include:

  •          food, drink and entertainment
  •          live music performances by School of Music students
  •          tours of ANU colleges and student accommodation
  •          presentation sessions by leading academics
  •          the Battle of the Brains, where academics pitch their disciplines against each other
  •          parent information sessions
  •          lab and technology displays
